As sustainability takes center stage in corporate strategy, the Green Masters Program continues to be a beacon for businesses seeking to prioritize and enhance their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. After nearly fifteen years of recognizing the sustainability achievements of more than 300 companies around the state, the Green Masters Program underwent a comprehensive update for 2023, marking a new era in sustainable leadership. The program now offers a holistic framework that integrates sustainability into business processes, emphasizing systemic change and the implementation of best practices for improved outcomes. Participants in the Green Masters Program are recognized based on their dedication and progress in embedding sustainability within their operations, categorizing participants into four status levels \u2013 Adapting, Advancing, Maturing, and Green Master \u2013 reflecting the degree to which sustainability has been integrated into their business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Green Masters Program\u00ae participant achievements include Empire Screen Printing of Onalaska, who achieved Green Master status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Green Masters Program is a tool for businesses to define, prioritize, measure, and manage their sustainability performance and integrate sustainable systems into business systems. It\u2019s a platform aligned with internationally recognized standards that drives sustainable success and continuous improvement.\u201d WSBC Managing Director Jessy Servi Ortiz said. \u201cThese companies\u2019 commitment to sustainability has also awarded them enhanced bottom-line benefits and brand recognition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Green Masters Program encourages businesses to see sustainability not just as a badge of honor but as a commitment to better business practices, improved performance, and a contribution to a more sustainable future. The program serves as a guide for those willing to go beyond the conventional and make a lasting impact. The Green Masters Program stands out for its cost-effective, comprehensive, and customizable approach to sustainability. Purpose-built for companies venturing into sustainability, the program provides a scalable standard for sustainable performance improvement. WSBC membership ensures that participants in the program have access to valuable resources, education, and a supportive community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year at the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council\u2019s Annual Conference, the achievements of member companies are recognized and celebrated.
